1 cup sugar 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar 2 cups walnuts 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 cup boiling water 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix sugar, cinnamon, cream of tatar with water. Cook until it forms a firm ball dropped in a glass of cold water. Remove and add vanilla and nuts, stir into the mixture until it starts to sugar. Turn nuts onto waxed paper to finish cooling.
