2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
4 c. flour
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400. Cream together sugar, butter, shortening, then add egg and vanilla and mix well. Sift dry ingredients and beat into creamed mixture. Chill until stiff enough to handle, then roll into balls and flatten with fork dipped in powdered sugar on a cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.
