2 cup Raisins
1-1/2 cups Water
1/3 cup Shortening
1 cup Sugar
2 cups Flour
1/2 tsp Allspice
1/2 tsp Cloves
1/2 cup Chopped Nuts
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 Egg
Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in water until 1 cup of liquid remains. While hot add shortening and sugar (to dissolve). Let cool.

Add dry ingredients that have been sifted together. Add nuts

Spread over greased cookie sheet.

Bake 20 minutes at 350º Spread with powdered sugar icing. Cool and remove from pan.
