1/2 cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup coffee
3 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 1/2 cups dried fruit
1 lb. citron
1/2 cup rum
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Soak dried fruit in rum for half hour.

Cream butter and sugar.

Add molasses, beaten eggs and coffee.

Stir in flour and spices.

Drain fruit (save run) and sprinkle with a little flour.

Add nuts and stir mixture into batter.

Add some of saved rum to mixture to moisten.

Shape into loaf pan

Bake at 300º for 1 hour
