1/4 c. crisco oil
1 lb round steak, cut into thin strips about 1/8-inch thick
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 green peppers, thinly sliced
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 c. cold water
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions:
Preheat oil in electric skillet, uncovered, at 325 degrees. Add meat and brown. Remove to serving dish. Add onion and pepper slices to skillet and cook until just tender. Dissolve corn starch in water and soy sauce. Add sugar, garlic salt and pepper. Pour into skillet with vegetables, stirring until sauce is thickened and clear. Add meat and cook several minutes longer or until heated through. Serve over hot rice.
