4 c. flour - sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. shortening (1/2 butter)
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. white sugar
2 eggs (well beaten)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients together.
Cream sugar and shortening - add eggs.
Blend in dry ingredients.
Shape into roll and refrigerate overnight.
Slice and Bake.
350º 10 -12 minutes until slightly brown.
