CAKE -
2 sticks Butter
2 cups Sugar
4 cups All Purpose Flour
4 Eggs
1-1/2 cup Buttermilk
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 pound Dates
Pinch of Salt
2 cups Pecans
1 pound Orange Slice Candy

GLAZE -
1 small can Orange Juice Concentrate
3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275º
Cut up nuts, dates and candy and mix with flour.
Cream sugar and butter until light.
Add eggs one at a time beating well after each.
Add one cup of buttermilk, then add the baking soda to remaining 1/2 cup buttermilk and add to mixture.
Add flour mixture a little at a time and mix well.
Bake for 2-1/2 hours

Mix orange juice with 3/4 cup light brown sugar. Pour over cake immediately after removing from the oven while it's still in the pan

Cool and remove from pan.
