"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste
4-1/2 c. flour 2 c. warm water 1 T. salt 1 pkg. yeast 1/2 c. margarine, melted 2 T. sugar
Mix all ingredients except margarine and knead until smooth, adding margarine as you knead. Let rise until double in size. Punch down and let rise a second time for 10-15 minutes. Bake at 400 F for 12-20 minutes depending on the size of the roll.
It just wouldn't be Sunday if there weren't hot rolls. Nobody makes them like Granny.
