1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1/2 cup boiling water

1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg beaten
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chocolate chips

In a sauce pan combine sauce ingredients and keep warm. In a mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. In a small bow combine, egg, milk, butter, and vanilla, add to dry ingredients and stir until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour into a greased pan. Pan warm sauce over batter. DO NOT STIR. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until cake is firm and floats in sauce.
