5 egg sized onions - peeled
5 large carrots - cut in chunks
1 can (29oz.) peeled tomatoes - drained
1 pinch marjoram
1 heaping teaspoon parsley
1 T. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 large bay leaf
1 quart water
3 T. apple cider vinegar
3 T. red wine
3 beef bouillon cubes
2 lbs. chuck stew meat - cut into chunks
1/8 - 1/4 lb. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer everything in large pot with water except for meat and butter. Roll meat in flour and brown in skillet with butter. When browned, put in pot with vegetables. In skillet with meat drippings, think with a little water to make gravy. Add gravy to pot with meat and vegetables. Cover and simmer for 2 hours. Great with rice or mashed potatoes.
