2 C. sugar
1 C. shortening
4 eggs
3 C. raw apples, chopped
1 C. raisins
1 C. coffee (cooled)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 C. flour

Combine all ingredients and put in 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Frosting: Boil 3 C. brown sugar, 4 T. butter and 1/2 C. milk for 2 minutes. Pour over cake.
