1 pound chicken livers
4 tbsp rendered chicken fat
2 onions diced
3 hard cooked egg yolks
1 tsp salt
1//4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/4-1/3 cup port (heavy red wine)
1 1/2 tsp cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Wash livers, remove any discolored spots-cut in half and drain
Heat 2 tbsp fat in frying pan, brown with onions
Remove onions and fry livers 10 min using more fat if necessary-drain,
Grind liver, yolks, onions and remaining fat. add salt and pepper. Be sure you have a smooth mixture. serve cold with crackers or as a spread on lettuce
