1 1/2 lbs. Top Sirloin - cut in 1/4 in strips
1 lb. fresh - sliced mushrooms
1 Onion - chopped
8 oz. Sour Cream
Flour
salt and pepper
Worchestershire Sauce
3 Beef Boullion Cubes
3 T. Catsup
1/4 Cup Cooking Sherry

Directions:

Dredge strips of the sirloin in the flour seasoned with salt and pepper - brown in hot oil (about 3 or 4 Tablespoons) Add choppe donion and brown with meat - Add 1-2 cusp waer, worcestershire sauce, catsup, boullion cubes and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Add mushrooms, sour cream and cooking sherry. Simmer for 15 minutes. Serve over rice or egg noodles. Makes it's own gravy. (may have to add a bit more water)

My mom made first made this when we were little - as a "special" Sunday dinner - I remember eating it with the noodles - and thought that we were "high on the hog" - I enjoy making it myself now - as a special treat!
