Personal Notes:
Jeff makes this occasionally and it is always a hit with our family.
Our son, Brandon was in the Navy and his ship was stationed in the Gulf over Christmas one year. Brandon's wife Christina came up with the idea of making packages of special treats to send to each serviceman on the ship for Christmas. It is so hard for servicemen not to be home with their families during the holidays, no matter where they are stationed at the time. Christina's mom hosted us at her house where we all brought homemade goodies and Jeff worked countless hours making carmel popcorn to package up and send to the troops.
There was some grumbling from shipmates when this big package arrived for Brandon. They couldn't figure out where he was going to store that big box, in his small quarters. Little did they know it was for all of them. They were so grateful that the Captain sent a letter to Christina thanking us all. This will always be a great memory....
