This recipe for Tomato Aspic, by Carolyn Stocum, is from Susan Marie's Kitchen,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1-3 oz. pkg lemon gelatin 1¼ c. boiling water 8 oz. can tomato sauce 1½ tbsp. vinegar 1 level tsp. dried onions 1 level tsp. horseradish sauce Dash of salt Dash of pepper
Dissolve gelatin in hot water, then add remaining ingredients and stir well. Pour into individual molds. Chill until firm, serve on crisp salad greens with a dab of mayo on top - or you can put it in a shallow pan and when firm, cut into squares.
