5 pounds of self rising flour
3 cups of sugar
3 cups of syrup
1/2 Teaspoon of baking soda
1 Teaspoon of ground cloves
1 pound of country butter
6 eggs beaten well
1 Teaspoon of Lemon Juice
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla flavoring
1/2 pound of chopped pecans

Directions:

Stir in 5 pounds of self rising flour. Mix all ingredients- stir and kneed thoroughly.
Roll out, cut with cookie cutter, place 1 whole pecan on each cookie. Dust with cookie brush to remove any excess flour. Place on a well buttered baking sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven from 11 to 12 minutes depending upon the oven.
