Ingredients: 1 cup flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg
3/4 cup oil 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1/4 cup milk
1 cup raisins *3 cup oatmeal (add 1 cup additional oats -see Personal Notes below)

Directions: |
Directions:Cover and refrigerate mixture an for an hour or more before dropping dollop of dough on baking sheet covered with parchment paper or silicone bake sheet. Depending on how your over heats, bake on middle or upper middle rack. You do not want the bottoms of the cookies to get too brown.
Bake on 375º for 12ish minutes. It is better to slightly under bake than over baked. My oven runs hot so I set my oven to 360º. |

Notes: *Over the years I believe the brown sugar has changed, although C&G denies any changes but the cookies cannot maintain thickness and chewiness without adding as much as 1/2 to 1 cup additional Original Oatmeal to this recipe. You must refrigerate for at least one hour.
