2/3 C Dark Brown Sugar
2 Sticks Butter
2 Egg Yolks beaten
2 C Flour
1/2 t Salt
1 t Vanilla
1 3/4 C Shelled, Chopped Walnuts
Preserves of your choice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Sift flour and salt together. Stir flour into butter mixture. Roll into 1 inch balls and drop into beaten egg whites. Roll in chopped nuts. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased sheet. Bake at 375 for 5 minutes. Remove and quickly press thumb into center of cookies. Place back in oven for 8 minutes. When cooled, fill center with jam.
