1/2 cup sugar, 2" stick cinnamon, 1 cup fresh cranberries

Directions:

Combine 1/4 cup water and sugar in small saucepan. Add cinnamon. Bring to boil, stirring 'til sugar dissolves. Add cranberries and boil rapidly until berries just pop, about 2 minutes. Remove cinnamon. Serve in hollowed out lemon cups. (Since I almost never serve this in lemon cups, I usually add lemon zest to the pot.) Makes 3/4 cup.
