2 c. shortening 2 c. sugar 2 c. brown sugar 4 eggs 2 t. vanilla 3 c. flour 2 t. salt 2 t. baking soda 6 c. oatmeal (quick) 2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Cream shortening and sugars. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and soda. Fold into creamed mixture along with the oats and nuts. Roll into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
