1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortning (or half margarine half oil)
2 eggs
tspn vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups quick rolled oats
1 1/2 cup coconut

Mix well sugars, shortning, eggs, vanilla. Mix separately Flour,salt, baking soda and powder, rolled oats and coconut. Combine to mixtures and drop on a cookie sheet and press lightly with a fork. Bake a 350 about 10 minutes.
