1/2 cup softened butter 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. almond extract 2 1/2 cups flour 1 Tbsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cream of tartar 2 tsp. nutmeg
Cream butter, shortening and sugars. Add 1 egg, vanilla and almond extracts. Gradually add remaining ingredients. Shape into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes.
