1 chicken, cut up, skin removed
1 can chicken broth
1 stick butter
3 cloves garlic
1 onion, chopped
5 green onion, chopped
8 ounces sliced mushroom
5 carrots, chopped coarsely
5 to 6 potatoes, quartered



Directions:
Directions:
Brown the chicken in a Dutch Oven. Add bullion, butter, garlic, and cooking onion. Simmer for about 15 minutes.

Add potatoes and carrots. Simmer for another 15 minutes. Add mushrooms, green onion. Continue to simmer until potatoes are done, approximately another 10 minutes.

Cook's Notes: Be sure to resist the temptation to add water to this dish - it will be much more satisfying and hearty without the additional liquid. Serve it with Sour Dough French bread for a warm meal.
