Golden Pound Cake Recipe

1/2 lb. butter
2 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. lemon juice

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Mix flour, salt and baking powder in a separate bowl.
With electric mixer, add 1/3 flour mixture then 1/3 milk to butter mixture until all is gone.
Add vanilla and lemon extract.
Pour into greased bread pans and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.
