10 yams, try to get all the same size
1 bottle real maple syrup
1 stick butter
3/4 to 1 cup brown sugar

boil the potatoes until when you pierce with a folk it comes out quickly, do not overcook. Let them cool and then peel and slice in half.

Please in a pan which has been covered with foil. Pour syrup over the yams, then pour sugar and put pats of butter scattered over everything.

Bake at 350 degress until they start to look carmelized. Remove from oven and serve.
