Directions:
Measure flour and shortening in bowl. Cut in shortening thoroughly using a pastry blender. Sprinkle in water 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing until all flour is moistened and dough almost cleans side of bowl. Gather dough into ball, shape into flattened round on lightly floured surface. With floured-covered rolling pin, roll dough 2 inches larger than pie pan. Fold pastry into quarters, unfold and ease into pan. For 1-crust pie--Trim overhanging edge of pastry from rim of pan. Press firmly around edge with fork. Dip fork in flour to prevent sticking. Bake at 475º for 8 - 10 minutes.
