1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 lb. ground beef chuck
3 eggs
1 cup uncooked white rice
Sauce:
8 Roma tomatoes
1 clove garlic
1 serrano chile pepper
1/2 onion
Fresh spearmint

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine sauce ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Rinse rice.
2. In a large bow, combine meat and rice. Add eggs and form into meatbals.
3. In a large pot, bring sauce to a boil. Add meatballs, cover and cook on medium-low heat for about 40 minutes. Garnish with spearmint. Serve with Mexican rice.บบ

This is a very old Mexican recipe given to us by Ruben's mother who we lovingly call "Mama Pina". This is a Contreras family favorite that is made at least once a month.
