8 large red potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 lb. fresh green beans, cut in half
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 lb. salt pork or bacon cut small
Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes until tender. Boil green beans until tender. Sauté bacon or salt pork. When almost done, add onion until it is cooked. Drain most of grease; not all. Combine potatoes and green beans, stir. Pour bacon and onions over potatoes, season with salt & pepper, Stir and enjoy. This is Carol and Maureen's version of Mémé's recipe.
