1 C Butter, softened
1 C Brown Sugar
1/2 C Molasses
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Cloves
1/4 tsp Cardamom
3 1/4 C Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and molasses until well mixed. Add spices; mix well. Stir in flour. Using hands, shape dough into a ball. Do not chill dough. On a floured surface and working with a small amount of dough at a time, roll dough about 1/4-inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place cookies on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375º for 7 to 8 minutes (for large size cookies), or about 6 minutes for smaller cookies. Let "set" on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Decorate as desired.
