1 c. soft shortening (part butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 t. cream of tartar
1 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt

2 tbsp sugar
2 t. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Blend together all dry ingredients; stir in. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400º for 8-10 min. (These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out.)
