Upside Down Apple Pie Recipe

1 stick butter (room temperature)
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 can apple pie filling
6 fresh apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
1 Pie Crust
2 eggs beaten
Sugar to sprinkle on top of crust

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º

Combine in a cast iron skillet butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add apple pie filling. Stir fresh apple slices into mixture to coat all apples in skillet. Place crust over apples and pan, and brush crust with beaten eggs. Sprinkle sugar on top – cut crisscross in center of crust, so it can breathe.

Bake at 425º for 30 minutes.
