Cream 1/2 lb butter;
1 c sugar;
1 egg yolk;
2 tsp vanilla;
2 c flour;
save egg white for later

Directions:
Directions:
Make into dough that separates from side of mixer. Spread thinly over 9 x 13 cookie sheet with edges.Spread egg white on top of dough and sprinkle about 1 c chopped pecans over all. Bake at 350º until golden brown. Cut carefully into squares while hot (I use a Pizza cutter)Do not remove until cool.
