1 pkg yeast
1/4 cup luke warm water---combine and set aside.

1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt----in large bowl

3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup butter (5 1/3 tbsp)----microwave 2 minutes and then add to sugar and salt

1/2 cup cold water
1 egg------add to the large bowl mixture

(If you are making orange rolls, substitute orange juice for 1/2 cup cold water, and add 1 tsp finely grated orange peel)

add yeast

4 cups flour (half white/half wheat or all white)---stir into the wet mix. knead for 10 minutes

For orange rolls, make a thin icing:
1/2 cup icing sugar
2 tsp orange juice
1/2 tsp finely grated orange peel (optional)



Directions:
Directions:
-Raise for 1 hour
-Rolls into 24 balls
-Place on a baking stone or cookie sheet
-Raise again for 15-20 minutes (can skip this stage)

Bake @ 350º for 10 minutes or until golden
