1/4 c. shortening 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg, well beaten 1/2 c. pumpkin 1 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 c. raisins 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350º. Cream shortening; add sugar gradually. Cream until light and fluffy. Add egg and pumpkin. Mix well. Stir in dry ingredients and mix well. Add raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheets and bake for 15 minutes.
