2 package yeast dissolved in 1/2 c. luke warm water
4 tsp. sugar
2 1/4 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
1 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine yeast and 4 teaspoons sugar with 1/2 cup luke warm water. Scald milk and add shortening,salt and sugar. Cool milk mixture until lukewarm. Stir in 3 cups flour, then add yeast and 3 beaten eggs. Beat well and stir in about 5 cups flour to make soft dough. Place on pastry cloth. Add enough more flour and knead until smooth and satiny. Place in bowl and let rise until doubled in bulk.

Good for bread, dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls or other sweet rolls. Use whole wheat or rye flour as part of flour for variety of breads.
