For the cake:
1-1/2 cups Bisquick Mix
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk or water
2 tbls butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg

For the crumb topping:
1/2 cup coconut
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped nuts
3 tbls butter(softened)
2 tbls milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.
Stir all crumb topping ingredients together and set aside.
Grease and flour an 8" square pan.
Beat all ingredients for the cake portion in a large bowl on low speed for 30 seconds; scraping bowl constantly. Beat on medium speed for 4 minutes, scraping occasionally.
Pour into the prepared pan.
Bake at 350 for 30-35 min until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly.
Spread crumb topping over the cake.
Set oven to broil and broil about 3" from heat for about 3 minutes or until golden brown.

Be very careful when you broil the topping. I have blackened this recipe because I wasn't paying attention.
Joe and his roommates really enjoy this cake.
