1 1/2 2lb Chuck, Round, or English Roast, 6 medium potatoes, small bas of baby carrots, 1 large yellow onion, 1 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 tsp. pepper, Canola oil, 1 Cup of water
Brown roast in oil on top of stove till brown all over. Peel & cut potatoes into quarters or smaller. Cut onion into large chunks. Add most or all of the bag of carrots to the crockpot, then potatoes and onions. Top with the roast. Add salt and pepper. Pour cup of water over all. Cook on low for 6-8n hours.
