1 1/2 quarts milk
1 cup uncooked rice

4 egg yolks
1 Cup sugar
2 T milk
1 T vanilla
Raisins

4 egg whites
8 T sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cook milk and rice until rice is soft. Beat egg yolks and sugar, adding milk. Combine with rice and cook slowly until mixture thickens. Add 1 T vanilla and raisins. For the meringue: beat egg whites until they are stiff and gradually add sugar. Spread over rice and bake at 400º until browned.
