8-10 slices of fried bacon
1 chopped onion
20 oz can diced tomatoes
3-4 cans of pork and beans

Grandma Cain sometimes added diced potatoes or elbow macaroni to make it a more hardy meal

Add all ingredients together in a large pot and let simmer for 20 -30 minutes on low to medium heat or until potatoes are tender
