Make hamburgers into very thin patties all about the same size around. Make twice as many as you need. Mound the diced onions on half of the patties. Take one of the remaining patties and place on top of the patties with onions. Pinch around the edges of the 2 patties so that the onions are sealed between them. Season and grill or fry until done to your liking.
