3 cups packed brown sugar
6 cups oatmeal
3 cups flour
3 cups margarine (6 sticks),
1 tablespoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients into a huge bowel and mash, knead, squeeze, and pound to your hearts content. Then form dough into small balls, the size of walnuts. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Butter the bottom of a small glass, dip into granulated sugar and mash the balls flat. Keep doing this. (you will need to butter the glass bottom only once or twice, but re-dip it into the sugar for each ball). Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
