1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add egg & milk. Beat until blended. Pour into hot greased skillet. Bake at 400º for 25 minutes.
