2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 eggs
1 cup hulled, crushed strawberries

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside. In a medium bowl cream together butter, sugar and almond extract. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each. Add flour mixture and berries. Mix until just blended.
Grease a 8x4 inch loaf pan. Turn batter into pan and smooth top evenly. Bake at 325º for 50-60 minutes or until pick comes out clean. Let bread stand in pan 10 minutes. Turn out and cool on wire rack. When cool, store in an airtight container. Tastes better if you let is stand one day before serving.
