6 cups chicken stock
3 star anise
3 cloves garlic, peeled and whole
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons brown sugar

2 fillets of pre-cooked chicken breast sliced thinly
2 packets of crushed instant noodles (top ramen)

Combine first seven ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Add chicken and noodles. Simmer for 2 minutes. Serve...

It's actually supposed to be beef noodle soup, but it's hard to find nice beef here in China, so we improvise. My friend Julie Baker gave me this great recipe. It tastes just like the "Nanjing Beef Noodles"
