1/4 cup butter
4-6 tbsp flour
4 cups milk
1 bottle of home-canned tomatoes
3-4 fresh tomatoes
5 chicken bullion cubes dissolved in 1 cup of hot water
Garlic powder, oregano and basil, Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Make a puree out of the tomatoes in the blender. Set aside. Melt butter, add flower to make a paste. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly to keep out lumps as it thickens. Gradually mix in the tomatoes, and chicken broth. Add seasoning to taste...Salt and pepper, garlic powder oregano and basil.

You may substitute store bought canned tomatoes...I don't have bottled tomatoes here. I usually use 2 large cans, or 3-4 small ones.
