8 lb Butterball turkey
salt and pepper
butter
onion
celery
bay leaves
Accent
garlic salt
apple

GRAVY:

Neck and gizzards, etc. from turkey
celery
onion
carrot
Accent
salt and pepper
flour and milk

Directions:
Directions:
Discard liver from turkey. Clean bird and rinse well. Dry with paper towels. Lay on crisscrossed foil.

Salt and pepper turkey. Add slices of butter, carrot strips, celery strips, onion slices, bay leaves, Accent and garlic salt. Sprinkle seasonings on inside of turkey. Add 1/4 apple in neck opening and the rest of apple inside the turkey. Tuck wings under.

Cook at 300º for 2-2 1/2 hours.

For Gravy:

Simmer neck, gizzards, etc in water to cover with celery, onion, carrot, Accent, salt and pepper...Remove carrot.

Make gravy with flour and milk and add to mixture, stirring unitl thickened.
