1/2 cup packed mint leaves
1/2 cup packed cilantro leaves and stems
6 green onions
2 fresh jalapeņos
1 tsp. minced fresh garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garam masala*
13 C. lemon juice
2 T. water

* Garam masal can be purchased at Asian markets or grocery stores with an extended Asian section.

Cut green onions into short lengths. Put all ingredients into blender and blend into a smooth paste.

This fresh chutney will keep in the fridge for about one week. It is a delicious condiment with spicy Indian and Asian food from beef to poultry to seafood.
