2 tbs butter
2 tbs flour
1/4 tsp salt
black pepper to taste
1 cup milk
1 large can water packed tuna
Optional - one slice American cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In small heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt butter. Stir in flour, stirring constantly.. Cook over low heat 4-5 minutes. Stir in milk, may use whisk. Cook over low heat until thickened to desired consistency, stirring constantly. If you are unlucky enough to get lumps, strain them out.
If desired, tear piece of cheese into sauce.
Drain the tuna, giving the juice to the cat or dog.
Stir in tuna and heat through.
Serve on toast, bagel, English muffin, or pasta.
