10 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. yeast powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. cold lard (or shortening)
2 c. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Mix in shortening thoroughly. Add water to make a stiff dough. Beat to 30 min. with a hammer. Make into biscuits. Prick with fork. Bake on pan without biscuits touching, in a very hot oven (450º) for 20 min.
