2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Place sugar, corn syrup, water and salt in a saucepan over a low heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved; then cook without stirring to 252º on candy thermometer (very firm ball). Just before syrup reaches 252º, beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Wipe the crystals from the pouring edge of the pan. Pour syrup in a very fine stream over the egg whites; beating constantly while pouring. Co not scrape bottom of pan. Continue beating until mixture holds its shape. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop quickly from the tip of a spoon onto waxed paper or turn into an oiled shallow pan. Let cool.
